I'm a dedicated educator who creates unique learner focused instruction that addresses multiple learning styles and captures the interest of learners at all levels using emerging instructional technologies to enhance face-to-face lessons and promote student engagement in both in person and online instruction.  I have ten years of K–12 classroom teaching experience and over five years experience teaching adult learners including University and Community College students as well as professional educators. I have experience designing and delivering instruction (both online and face-to-face) using direct instruction, modeling, and cooperative learning strategies designed to meet course standards and competencies.

As a designer of instruction, I've created online lessons and courses to meet the professional development needs of K-12 teachers, and community college and university students. I've created my own original lesson videos, assignments and courses to deliver to my students online or supplement face to face instruction.  As part of this, I've developed media rich content for college level Freshman Composition and Career and Technical Education courses based on board-approved course competencies.  I've also created original K-12 course curriculum based on School District, State and National Content Standards for middle school enrichment courses including: Yearbook, Journalism, Computers, and Non-Fiction Writing, blending standards from multiple subject areas to create unique courses that supported school goals for student literacy enrichment.

Additionally, since I began teaching I've spent more than ten years sharing my passion and knowledge of instructional technology with current and future teachers.  As a K-12 classroom teacher I was looked at as a technology leader—developing and leading in-service day trainings, serving as a school web author, and being an active member of my school’s technology committee.
